Facility Rentals at Southern Vermont College
Located on 371 acres in the foothills of Bennington, Vermont, Southern Vermont College offers a historic mansion and sweeping panoramic views that are perfect for your next workshop, reception or formal event.
Please review the following information outlining the various locations and services that are available to you. Our Event Coordinator will be happy to prepare a customized proposal that best meets your needs.
Burgdorff Gallery in the Everett Mansion
- Rental
- $600 for up to six hours, $100 for each additional hour.
- Capacity
- Up to 100 for stand-up receptions, 50-72 for sit-down dinners or buffets.
Once the formal living room of the Everett Mansion, the Burgdorff Gallery is the primary indoor location for events. Featuring fabulous acoustics and access to the Everett Theatre, Terrace, Cascade Waterfall, Grand Courtyard and sprawling lawns, the Gallery offers a unique setting for receptions and formal luncheons or dinners.
The Burgdorff Gallery is home to the Jazzman Café. Please ask our Event Coordinator for more information about this configuration.
Everett Mansion Courtyard & Cascade Waterfall

- $800 for up to six hours, $100 for each additional hour, tents available for an additional fee.

- Up to 250 people
The Cascade is the focal point of the Everett Mansion’s grand cobblestone courtyard. It consists of 13 cobblestone-lined pools fed by a man-made reservoir located on the mountainside. We recommend renting a tent, in the event of rain. We can also move the event inside to the Burgdorff Gallery for additional $200 set-up fee.
Everett Theatre in the Everett Mansion

- $300 for up to three hours, $100 each additional hour.
- Capacity
- Seats up to 84 with additional handicap seating.
This room was once the Everett family’s ballroom and later the home of the Oldcastle Theatre. It is equipped with a computer, DVD and VHS players, LCD projector, screen, microphone and podium and is ideal for lectures, performances and presentations.
President’s Meeting Room in the Everett Mansion
- Rental
- $300 for up to four hours, $550 per day.
- Capacity
- 12-16 People.
This octagon-shaped room boasts beautiful parquet flooring, rich paneled walls and spectacular views – a lovely setting for small meetings and luncheons.
Classrooms in the Everett Mansion
- Rental
- $275 for up to 4 hours; $500 per day (maximum 8 hours).
- Capacity
- 20-30 people per classroom (Abbey seats 45).
Each classroom is equipped with a computer, LCD projector and screen and is ideal for workshops and seminars.
Computer Lab
- Rental
- $400 for half day, $750 per day.
- Capacity
- 24 Dell work stations: 3 gig processors, Office 2003 Windows XP, 17” LCD monitors.
The lab is ideal for workshops and seminars.
Gym and Athletic Fields
- Rental
- $200 for up to 4 hours, $50 for each additional hour.
The fields boast spectacular views of the Green Mountains. The baseball field offers dugouts and bleachers.

Alumni of the College are eligible for a 15 percent discount on facility rentals. SVC faculty and staff are also eligible for a discount. Please ask our Events Coordinator for details.
