Southern Vermont College is nestled in the southwest corner of Vermont, on the eastern slope of Mount Anthony of the Green Mountain chain. The College is just minutes from Massachusetts and New York borders. Albany, New York, is less than an hour's drive, and Boston, New York City and Montreal are just three hours from campus. The historic town of Bennington offers shopping, restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance.
Some of the local attractions are not within walking distance, but don't let transportation deter you. The local bus system, Green Mountain Express, serves Arlington, Bennington and Manchester. Also, see the Director of Student Involvement and Leadership about arranging van excursions. In addition, there are many scheduled activities that provide transportation.
