Junior Scholarship Program

The Southern Vermont College Junior Scholarship Program allows you the opportunity to apply to Southern Vermont College as a junior in high school. If you are serious about pursuing your education at Southern Vermont College and it is your first choice of colleges, you should consider this program. Here is how it works: The Junior Scholarship program locks in the current tuition rate for three years and, at the same time, eliminates the anxiety of college choice decision in your senior year. This program is open to high school juniors who meet the requirements of regular admission. A high school junior who applies to Southern Vermont College, is accepted, and sends the tuition and housing deposit ($350) before June 30 of his or her junior year in high school, will pay the current year's rate of tuition for both freshman and sophomore years at SVC. (Southern Vermont College tuition averages a yearly 3% increase.) All students accepted into the program must maintain their current grade point average during their senior year of high school.

To apply to Southern Vermont College, please submit the following:
  • completed application (please indicate Junior Scholarship candidate);
  • $30 application fee;
  • two letters of recommendation;
  • personal essay;
  • high school transcripts; and
  • SAT, ACT scores, or SVC placement tests.
