Southern Vermont pitcher plays in 'pro-style' summer league

Southern Vermont College soon-to-be senior pitcher Daniel Bosely pitched for the Bennington Bombers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League this summer. The NYCBL is sanctioned by the NCAA and Major League Baseball as a training ground for college players to perform in a pro baseball environment. The league allows players who have not yet signed a professional contract the opportunity to develop their skills, gain experience with wooden bats and the pro game, and be evaluated by scouts.

New state-of-the-art baseball field at Southern Vermont

Southern Vermont College, through its relationship with the Bennington Bombers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League, this summer has upgraded its on-campus baseball stadium to become a pro-caliber field including the same infield construction as used at Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park.
