bookstore Contact Information

The SVC Bookstore offers textbooks through the Virtual Bookstore, reference materials, and writing and other course supplies as well as a variety of College souvenirs.

A Note on Textbook Purchases
SVC wants students to find the best prices for their books. To that end, unless your professor has a specific reason why you should only purchase your books from the virtual bookstore, you are encouraged to find the most affordable option. You can access the information on the required textbooks for each class from SVC’s virtual bookstore Web site link. Regardless of where you purchase your books, it is your responsibility to make your purchase in time for the start of classes.

Students who wish to use their excess financial aid towards books can do so only when purchasing through the SVC Virtual Bookstore using their "bookstore voucher" provided by the Financial Aid Office.

Attention Students and Parents!
You can now receive a tax credit for your books and course materials!. Under the newly created American Opportunity Tax Credit, textbooks and other course material expenses–along with tuition and fees incurred in 2009 and 2010 not covered by scholarships or grants–may be claimed as a tax credit on that year’s tax return. You may be eligible for a tax credit up to $2,500. It is important to keep a record of all expenses to be eligible. For more information, see http://www.textbookaid.org/
