Adult Student Services

As adult learners attending Southern Vermont College balance the demands of family, career, and education. The College offers great flexibility for these students by scheduling day, evening, and weekend classes, developing individualized degree programs, and offering academic credit for life experience.

The office provides information, academic advisement, and advocacy to students returning to college and is a vital link between evening/weekend students and the rest of the College. For the convenience of nontraditional age students, the Office of Adult Student Services is staffed during the evenings.

Day, Evening, and/or Low-Residency Classes
Students can attend Southern Vermont College part time or full time through day, evening, and/or low-residency classes scheduled during the fall and spring semesters and summer sessions. Students may elect to register for courses in pursuit of a baccalaureate or associate degree, or on a non-degree basis. They may also choose to audit a course on a space-available basis. Southern Vermont College does not offer degrees solely through distance-learning course work.
