Teaching experience

My most recent experience includes the development of educational programs based on the assessment development, implementation, and evaluation of the learning needs of healthcare employees in an acute healthcare setting. The focus was on the development and maintenance of patient care provider competency and performance by responding to a learning need that was either a: problem-prone issue, response to quality management data, low frequency performed skill, or a new skill or competency. The programming was continuously created and developed to respond to regulatory requirements, patient quality and safety requirements, and customer service needs. The overall goal of the educational programming was to improve outcomes of patient care. Programming was developed according to the ANA Standards of Nursing Professional Development: Continuing Education and Staff Development and the American Society for Training and Development. (ASTD). As appropriate programming was developed according to American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation continuing nursing education  (CE) standards.
