Management theories of successful coaches in a variety of sports, and how they can be adapted to business management situations.

Cost accounting for small businesses, using quantitative methods to analyze and solve business problems.
Looking at coaching techniques to solve business problems.
Looking at macro-economic trends and how they affect consumers and small business.

Why I teach

Having taught for over 30 years at various levels – 20 years at Southern Vermont College – I enjoy the dynamic interaction and energy found in the classroom. Watching students grow academically and personally provides me with the motivation to keep teaching.

May 2009 - Participated in the "Creative Leadership with Limited Resources" workshop in Cambridge, Mass. (sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges). 

May 2008 - Spoke at the Northshire Nonprofit Network at the Riley Rink in Manchester. The topic was the Nonprofit Management program offering at Southern Vermont College.
