Professor Eric Drouart left a successful career in business and marketing to join the SVC faculty members and pass on his practical skills to future generations. He joined SVC in 2009, teaching such courses as International Business, Marketing, Marketing Research, Advertising Management and Strategic Management.
“I enjoy sharing my professional experience with students and mentoring them to be ready to face the real-world business challenges of the 21st century,” he says. He says he also enjoys being “a member of a small, student-centered institution of higher learning where students are not just faces in a classroom.”
Drouart earned his M.S.B.A. and B.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. A native of France, Drouart was previously Associate Professor of Business in the Business Administration Division at Rivier College in Nashua, N.H. He was the Chair of the Rivier College Business Administration Department for three years between 2002 and 2005. Before joining Rivier, Drouart had extensive international marketing and general management experience, including 15 years with New York-based Bristol-Myers Squibb in international business development.
In addition to his role as Associate Professor within the College’s McCormick Division of Business, he also serves as Division Chair. Other recent highlights of his career include a presentation on China at the New Hampshire Business Education Association’s annual conference in November, and recognition by the Club Richelieu of Nashua that included a proclamation from the Governor of New Hampshire and the Mayor of Nashua declaring March 21, 2010, as “Eric Drouart” Day in New Hampshire.
