We'll make it affordable
A Southern Vermont College education is one of the important investments you will ever make. We realize that financing this investment is one of your family’s top concerns. We will make every effort to make the SVC experience not only a memorable one but also an affordable one.
Approximately 75 percent of full-time students at SVC receive financial assistance. In addition to financial aid based upon financial need, SVC also provides assistance derived from institutional scholarships for students demonstrating leadership and/or academic achievement. Even though we are a small institution, SVC provided students with approximately $2 million of direct aid last year. These awards reduced the average student's cost by more than 30 percent. Most students apply for and receive federal and state financial aid, which is then added to SVC's institutional aid.
