Southern Vermont College's Suggested Lenders
You've reached Southern Vermont College’s Federal Stafford Loan page for undergraduate students. Here you will learn about the various discounts, features and benefits offered by a select group of suggested lenders. These lenders are here to guide you in the selection of a student and/or Parent Plus Loan lender; however, the ultimate choice lies with the borrowers.
How do I apply for a Student Loan?
You must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and an Entrance Interview. This is required by the Federal government, and you can click here, Mapping Your Future.org, and follow the directions to mapping your future to complete the entrance interview online. You can also contact the Financial Aid Office to have a paper form mailed to you. Once the entrance interview is complete, and the College has received the funds, payments can be applied to your account. Note: First-time borrowers are subject to a 30-day delay of their fall disbursement; this is a federal regulation.
