Estelle B. Atwood Scholarship

Estelle Atwood, community leader and friend of Southern Vermont College, established an endowed scholarship to be awarded to junior or senior students in the Division of Social Sciences to assist them in the completion of their degree.

Banknorth Charitable Foundation Scholarship

The Banknorth Scholarship Fund will provide financial assistance to in-state students who have demonstrated a financial need and who are from families of low-to-moderate income levels. Deserving students must be active in community service and also participate in college-sponsored activities.

Alger Beal Memorial Scholarship

This memorial scholarship was established by the Beal Family and named for Alger Beal, longtime friend and neighbor of Southern Vermont College, in support of their commitment to preserving Vermont land.This scholarship is awarded to returning students concerned with the widespread effects of environmental degradation.

Michael P. Donoghue '71 Scholarship

An endowed scholarship awarded to returning students who are active in the campus community and participate in Southern Vermont College sponsored activities.Deserving students should also demonstrate an avid interest in news writing, mass communications, or sports information.This scholarship has been established through the love and generosity of family, friends, and classmates of Michael P. Donoghue '71, longtime Vermont journalist, former SVC/SJC Alumni Association Chair and College Trustee, and a member of the College's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Bill Epstein Scholarship

In recognition of his commitment as a faculty leader in the Southern Vermont College's Business degree program and founder of the Athletic program, the Bill Epstein Scholarship was established by family and friends to provide financial aid to returning students majoring in Business.Deserving students should be active in the campus community and volunteer in at least two College sponsored activities.

William A. Glasser Scholarship

In 1997, gifts from faculty, staff, and Trustees created the William A. Glasser Scholarship as a tribute to Dr. Glasser's 17 years of service as a faculty member, Dean of the College, and College President.This endowed scholarship is awarded to a returning, first-generation student with significant financial need.

Dr. Barbara K. Keller Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was created by the generosity of Dr. Barbara K. Keller, College Trustee and former educator, to be awarded to junior or senior students majoring in Psychology. Deserving students should be active in the campus community and demonstrate significant financial need.

Mary D. Mendel '88 Memorial Scholarship

Due to the kind-heartedness and generosity of Mary Mendel's co-workers from the New York State Department of Labor, this Scholarship Fund in her memory is available to deserving students in The McCormick Division of Business to assist with the payment of books.

Merchants Bank Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship support from the Merchants Bank Foundation, Inc., will provide financial assistance to students residing in Bennington County who are active in their community and who have demonstrated a financial need. This scholarship is awarded to returning students enrolled in the Liberal Arts/Management or Business Administration/Management degree program.

William and Phyllis Morse Scholarship

In recognition of their commitment to higher education, William and Phyllis Morse established this scholarship award to enable Southern Vermont College students to succeed in their endeavors. This Scholarship will assist with the payment of books for deserving students who are active in the campus community.

Olin Scott Fund

Grant support from the Olin Scott Fund to be used for scholarships for first-year and sophomore men who are graduates of Vermont high schools.Student aid is restricted to Vermont men.For the purpose of determining Vermont status, the legal residence of the person applying for aid is where he spent his senior year (July 1 to June 30) in secondary school (grade 12).

Rob Smith '98 Memorial Scholarship

This award is given to an upcoming resident senior class member who best represents the ideals and dreams of Rob Smith who graduated from the College in 1998 with a degree in Criminal Justice.Family and friends created this memorial scholarship as a tribute to Rob's accomplishments in education and his fondness for Southern Vermont College.

Robert Stout Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was created by the generosity of Bob Stout, former College Trustee and Putnam Memorial Hospital President, to be awarded to junior or senior students in the Nursing degree program who are eligible for the completion of their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Daniel Tange Memorial Scholarship
