Anna Brady, of Schenectady, N.Y., was selected as the Success Center Student of the Month for November. Anna is a Nursing major who earned her associate’s degree this past May, and she is currently seeking a bachelor's degree in Nursing

october 2009

Sean Moore of Upper Marlboro, Md., was selected as the Success Center Student of the Month for October. Sean is a sophomore enrolled in the Entrepreneurship and Management program. 

SVC freshman Adrian Alexis was named 2009 NECC men's soccer Rookie of the Year for his first season of collegiate play. Read more.

APRIL 2009

Michael Nosek of Oakham, Mass., received the Commitment to Service and Engagement Award at Vermont Campus Compact Higher Education Conference for both the breadth and depth of his community involvement. Nosek is an active member of the Student Activities Squad, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Student Government Association and many service projects including Coalition for the Homeless and Toys for Tots.

Zachary Garafalo of Natick, Mass., was nominated for the Vermont Teddy Bear 2009 Student Citizen Award at Vermont Campus Compact Higher Education Conference. The award, presented by The Vermont Teddy Bear Company, recognizes exceptional volunteer leadership efforts by college students across the state.

During Spring Break in March, four students traveled to New York City to work for Sylvia Rivera Food Pantry. They reorganized the filing sysem and assised the transformation from prepackaged grocery distribution to client choice distribution.  The students included: Trish Marquardt (Abington, Mass.), Tyler Morton (Rolesville, N.C.), Trista Hoot (Manchester, Vt.) and Celeste Warner (Bronx, N.Y.).
