SVC Announces Spring Classes

Southern Vermont College (SVC) will be offering a variety of courses during the Spring 2019 semester that would be beneficial for any learner. Led by professors who are masters of engaged learning, classes start Tuesday, January 22, on subjects in arts and music, business, criminal justice, healthcare, history, mathematics, natural sciences, politics, psychology, and sports management.

High school juniors and seniors are encouraged to consider taking classes at a reduced rate or they may qualify for two free courses through SVC’s Dual Enrollment options.

Offerings from the Division of Business include Accounting Fundamentals, Advanced Web Design, Athletic Training, Business Law, Current Environments of Globalism, Digital Marketing, Foundations of Economics (online), Fundamentals of Academic Computing (online), Introduction to Sports Management, Marketing Fundamentals, Personal Financial Management, and Sports Law.

The Division of Humanities is offering Acting Workshop, American Sign Language II, Band, British Literature, Choir, Concepts of Visual Design, Effective Speaking, English Composition I and II, History and Structure of the English, Journalism Production, Musicianship, New Media Production, Speaking for the Professions, and Writing for the Professions.

The Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is offering Anatomy and Physiology I and II, College Algebra with Trigonometry, General Biology II, General Physics II, Human Nutrition (online), Medical Microbiology, Physical World, Statistical Methods, and Topics in Mathematics: Differential Equations.

Offerings from The Division of Social Sciences will be Case Management and Community, Chemical Dependency, Evidence and Court Procedures, Introduction to American Politics, Juvenile Justice, Lifespan Development (online), Modern African History and Politics, Police Organization and Management (online), Psychology, Psychology of Adulthood and Aging, Sociology, and World History Prior to 1500.

Within the Division of Nursing and Health Services, courses are available in the Nursing Program and Radiologic Sciences Program.
